Finance Manager
Pennie Hablethwaite is D2K’s Finance Manager and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of D2K’s finance. Pennie began her working career in her father’s motel before completing a formal bookkeeping course. She then worked in PR and ran her own furniture and retail business for 10 years. Pennie says “I learned a lot about furniture and enjoyed interacting with the customers.’ On a personal note, Pennie says ‘I enjoy travelling and good food with my Italian husband. I am also a keen gardener.”
Senior Systems Architect
James Lucas is a Software Engineer with a passion for applying technology to improve lives.
James is the lead developer for Information Engine and have been involved in the architecture and design since it’s inception, he has 18 years experience in information systems, software architecture, sensor networks and infrastructure management.
James completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) (Information and Communication Technology Engineering), Diploma in Engineering Practice, University of Technology Sydney (AUS)
Administration and Sales Acquisition Manager
Tatjana Domes provides technical support at D2K, managing the website and admin needs such as databases as well as outbound sales acquisitions.
Tatjana is in their final year of bachelor’s (with Honours) in Environmental Engineering, leveraging engineering knowledge with 5 years experience working at IBM to provide admin and tech services to D2K Information as well as a new venture as sales acquisition manager.
Tatjana Says that as an avid rock climber and enjoyer of the outdoors, environmental issues hold a personal importance. Water is essential not only for human lives but the lives of our fauna and flora, my outdoor recreation would not be possible without the ecosystems that our complex water bodies support.
Marketing Lead
Debra is a recent addition to D2K’s team. Debra says “My role is to oversee the marketing and communication activities to ensure customer-oriented alignment across multiple platforms.”
Debra says “Key career accomplishments include an 18 month rebranding and product launch for a new garden watering and micro irrigation range. Working with the product development manager from concept, range rationalisation, packaging, and through to launch communication and video package. I have project managed several website launches and enjoy event management, most notably exhibiting at Master Chef Live, OZWater & CEDIA”
Debra says “A mix of left/right brain dominance, I have a logic/artistic approach to life, including hobbies. I am a keen: scuba diver, yogi, chef, traveller, gardener, photographer and hiker. When time allows, I’ll take up golf.
Documentation and Digital Marketing
Erika Beilharz is D2K’s Documentation and Digital Marketing Specialist, with two years of experience at the company developing product collateral including brochures and case study materials, as well as creating customer support materials for Information Engine.
Erika is in her final year of the Bachelor of Environmental Engineering (Hons) course at RMIT University, where she is researching water quality, management, and treatment design. She says, “In my capstone project, I investigated the concept of a circular economy and its applicability to international industrial wastewater treatment.”
On a personal note, Erika says “I love having a creative outlet. Whether it’s tackling a jigsaw puzzle, learning to sew, scrapbooking, or crocheting, I always have a project on the go to inspire innovation and creativity in my work and studies.”
CEO
Matt McGuire is D2K’s CEO, and is accountable for overall business performance, strategy formulation and implementation, team development and welfare and enjoys customer liaison and relationship building. Matt is an experienced leader and CEO across multiple industries spanning 15 years, with the last 4 years in the water quality and management industry.
Matt says, “As CEO, I have led turnaround situations and been responsible for driving leading profitable revenue growth across numerous businesses by developing sound strategies and driving high-performing teams and focusing on business execution. Prior to joining D2K Information as CEO in 2023, I was the CEO of a water filtration and water quality business with revenues of around $ 15 million per annum.”
On a personal note, Matt says: “I am passionate about mentoring younger business executives and I am a board director on several for-purpose boards. I’m a keen swimmer and a (barely) adequate guitar player. My wife and I enjoy travelling and visiting our grandchildren.”
Director & Head of Sales
Phil Krasnostein is a D2K founder, Director, and Head of Sales. He is accountable for customer acquisition, sales growth, and customer retention.The founders of D2K envisioned providing an end-to-end solution for improving decision-making in water quality management. Today, D2K’s primary focus is the Information Engine, a data source-agnostic, cloud-based software platform designed to tackle specific challenges faced by Water Quality Managers.
Phil says that during his career he has: “led the development and implementation of advanced recycling technologies in the paper and plastics industries, including being the first in the world to achieve USFDA approval for 100% recycled content in soft drink bottles; served as an inaugural CEO in the development of an innovative offshore geotechnical drilling technology deployed in Australia, the USA, and Asia; co-founded an Australian water treatment company that developed world-leading systems for recycling grey water; and founded, and still manages, a business that provides advanced remote water quality monitoring hardware solutions.
Phil says “I have an honours degree in chemical engineering from the days of slide rules and my work experience includes 25 years in heavy process manufacturing, followed by another 25 in technology development and commercialisation, including 18 years in various aspects of water quality management.”
On a personal note, Phil enjoys listening to music, reading, walking, and playing tug-of-war with the family dog. He also cherishes spending time with his grandchildren, dining out with friends, and dreaming about having enough time and energy to reconnect with fishing, boating, and scuba diving.
